The Last Reflection of Micro Teaching

I've done my micro teaching..
Really, I am still confused how to be a good teacher, especially in 30 minutes.
Just remembering the video of Lentera Jiwa which had been shown by Mr.Pras, I agree with it.

I just wanna be someone who wanna be......

Two sides of my thought, to be a teacher or to be another....

Next Semester, I take PPL II, yeah it will be a chance for me to dip my teaching ability.

Why God Made Teachers

Finally I did it

Yesterday is my special day. I woke up earlier and took a bath soon.
I had a micro teaching in Interactional Speech II class. Wew... I was so nervous. I went to campus and attended before 6.30 a.m.
Nice, K11 was empty and I entered that room.
When my heart was beating loudly, suddenly, my juniors came and smiled....
I got the first turn to teach the class. Mrs Ana Anggraini gave me Reporting as the topic that I might teach.
Yeah, I stepped forward and started tha class. I opened the class with the prayer and I asked One student to lead the prayer. Fortunately, She wanted to help me. Nice.
Then, I explained about reporting. I explained the definition, generic structure, and the example.
After the students seemed understood, I gave a game for them as the main activity.
They had to work in groups and made an infotainment show ( because my lesson subtopic was informal report). The class was very interseting, because of the students were so cooperated.
I loved them so much (hahahaha).
However, I felt that I had not given them a good lesson. I do not know why.
Mrs Ana said that I have to improve my knowledge of teaching, but She told me that I could be a great teacher... Really?..... I'll try....

Today is my final exam of micro teaching course. I will teach my classmates who pretend as SMP students. Wish Me Luck

A. Terminology: blogs, wikis and podcast

1. Social Software

• The lack of enthusiasm one feels for one’s blog, after a time.

• A well-known site where one can easily set up a blog.

6. Vlog

• A video blog.

7. Wiki

• A collaborative webspace consisting of several linked web pages, that can be edited by several people.

8. Wikipedia

• A well-known collaborative encyclopedia on the internet.

• An audio or video file which can be downloaded to a personal computer or to a mobile device such as an MP3 player.

C. Wikis

· All of them, because actually wiki has the same design as blog. However, wiki has several page in one address.

D. Podcast

1. Lerners listen to podcast
• Advantages : Learners can find native speakers

It will be easy and simple

· Disadvantages : ~

2. Learners create podcast

· Advantage : Learners can create their own practice to be uploaded

· Disadvantages : It does not work well for several learners which only have to listen, they create podcast, but not in a good purpose.

And...... It's My Time

Last week, I performed my teaching practice. Unfortunatelly, Mr.Prast had a meeting, so that he could not come to the class at 14.00 p.m. Yeah it was an extraordinary experience, I had to teach my own friends.. I felt nervous little bit, and sometimes I lost my words to be spoken. My topic was Expressing Surprise. I tried to give a "warming up", in order to grab my friends' attention. I explained first, and then I asked my students (my own friends) to make a mini role play. Actually, I was different to the activity that I planned in my lesson plan. I decided to make a role play, because I thought that I would be nice and more interesting for the students.
Unfortunately, I had not finished yet my students' performances. I think, I had given too long time to the students to plan their role play. Yeah....
Now, I can learn from my experience, that I still have so many weaknesses in my teaching performance.
Two of my friends who were pointed as my observers. They said that I could not manage time well. I did not go around the class effectivelly when the students had group meetings.
However, my observers said that I was funny and enthusiastic, so that the students did not feel bored. The activity of the class was interesting.

Yeah...... for the next teaching practice, I must try to be better..............

Teacher is not a simple proffesion

Thats a simple lyric of song which tells about the teacher... Great.....
Sometimes I do not understand, how could so many people say that teacher is not a high-class profession..
There are so many parents who ask their children to be a doctor, a bussinessman, or other professions. Yeah,,, nowadays people changed. Perhaps it is because of "certification".... hahahahah.

Yeah thats an intermezo...

Next meeting will be my turn to teach in a teaching class of Micro Teaching Class....
My heart is beating so fast from now.... I do not know...
However, i will try my best..
Based on my friends' experience, they have already taught successfully, so that I will...

Perhaps, someday I will become a teacher.... and PBI has made me love to teach...

Again.... Micro Teaching

That is the lyric of There's a Hero by Billy Gilman..... My favourite song which motivates me to do more and more...and reminds me that I also have something....
Sometimes I feel so bad, I think I can not do what my friends' did...
They are so excelent in my opinion.
However, I believe that there's a miracle for me....... yeah.
Last week, I learned from my friends who had done their job. Yeah good job!.
Sarce is one of them. She seemed so calm and moved freely as a professional teacher. Zico, I think he will be a teacher who is so kind. He gave candies for all the students, and he gave pens for those who answered the questions.. Wew..
However, is it a good idea? Hmmmmm fifty - fifty, I think. When I looked around, the students motivated to answer because of the pens, and the others were so attracted to get one, and the discussion was not focused on the purpose. I think it will be better, when the teacher provided gifts for the students, he/she give the gifts after the discussion. Hmmm.... thats my opinion.
next week will be my turn to be a teacher....... I really hope, I give my best..
